Introduction and access to initial course downloads


Welcome to Resilience and Positive Psychology - Creating Health Through Happiness 10th April 2021

We are delighted to have you with us on this exciting and rewarding journey! Your skills and talents are desperately needed - more so now than ever. We are grateful that you have enrolled on this course as we know that the Resilience and Positive Psychology techniques you will learn on this course will be invaluable to the people you support. Your contribution to the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing of the nation is inestimable and we are honoured to have you join us!

The course starts at 10am sharp - so please make sure that you are online with us no later than 9.45am so that you can ensure that you are properly set up. Once you are in the 'Zoom Room', you can nip to the loo, grab a cuppa - and just get yourself comfortable.

We aim to finish at 5.30 - however last time we had such a lovely engaged group and we had lots of questions, discussion and so on - so we actually ended at 6.15 - mind you, there were 50 of us in the session! I certainly won't keep you any longer than absolutely necessary.

There will be comfort breaks between each session and a lunch break.

My top tip for the day: Get your food and drink for the day organised the day before, as this is a fast-moving day and there won't be time for you to pop to the shops on the day.

In this 'Introduction' section we have several downloads for you that you may want to print off before the training day. Some, you may wish to keep in their e-book format.

Our suggestion would be to print out the everything that you can, however, please be aware that the following files are large. You may want to keep these as e-resources.

Do please download the "Relaxation Response Instructions" and the "Yoga Nidra for Deep Sleep" recordings when you have time - these are great assets that you can use with your clients but they are not needed on the day.

It is entirely up to you if you want to print off the Resilience, Happiness and Success eBook - it is quite a long document. It is fine to view on a screen - however if you are doing the Licentiate Level training you will need to print it out at some point as you will need it for your students.

We have also included the PDF of the very popular Love, Kindness and Compassion tutorial as this is a very useful document with many links to robust research in the Positive Psychology, Loving Kindness, Resilience and Compassion research arena. Again - printing is optional. Furthermore, we have also included our recent Integrated Positive Psychology lecture - again this is an asset that might prove useful to you.

Please keep checking back - as this course grows you'll find that we send you further assets - such as e-Books, worksheets and more - so you will always be up to date with the latest developments in the field.

On the day of the training you will see more presentations and you will receive copies of these after the event that you can use in your work.
